This is an analytical course in interaction design basics that complements IO3871 and IO3872 in the context of the Interactive environments minor. The main activity is documenting, reflecting on and critiquing existing projects, tools and literature in the field of interaction design. Producs, service and spaces are acceptable objects of critique.

For example, students will be asked to examine projects such as the OV-Chipcard, Tiwtter, WatWasWaar and reflect on the reasons for their success or failure in comparing with analogous projects.

The main work arena for this course will be a wiki (or similar online collaboration platform) where the students will have full write access.

    Study Goals

Ability to intelligently critique an existing service, tool, product
    Ability to propose potential solutions
Ability to contrast and compare the object of critique with other similar entitities

Students will analyse and evaluate tools/projects/software frameworks/products in a given set of topics relevant to the minor interactive environments.
