In stap drie verschuift de aandacht van het ontwerp- naar het gebruiksproces. Waar het gedrag in de ontwerpfase nog in de computer plaats vond, is het natuurlijk vanzelfsprekend om dat voort te zetten in de geconstrueerde werkelijkheid. Waarom zou een gebouw stoppen met reageren als het eenmaal is opgeleverd? Als de punten daarop zijn geprogrammeerd, dan is het relatief eenvoudig om interactie met gebruikers en de omgeving te bewerkstelligen, tot en met het bewegend aanpassen van het gebouw. Met zijn Hyperbody groep op de faculteit Bouwkunde van de TU Delft heeft Oosterhuis al meerdere van dergelijke interactieve, bewegende ruimten en constructies gemaakt. Studenten blijken relatief snel in staat een dergelijk gebouw te programmeren en zelf te construeren, zo moeilijk is het dus niet.
